THE ANNUAL SPORTS FINALE AT SHAHEEN
As perfect a day as one could wish for. Yes, Wednesday, 29th January, 2014 saw a bright shining day with clear skies and light wind. The students had waited for this day which had to be postponed due to rainy weather last week.
A suitably decorated stage, and nicely laid out grounds awaited the players to show their skills. The events were planned and conducted for all age groups except the nursery and the prep classes.
The parents had been invited through a written note. Their attendance was not very encouraging but it wasn’t too bad either.
The fun moment came when the guests threw a challenge for a friendly cricket match with the male staff members. The challenge was accepted and the Shaheen staff scored an easy win. Everybody enjoyed it.
After the games the usual colourful march past was entertaining and a good finish for an exciting day.
Now that the sports day is behind us for the year, all focus must be on the studies as the final exams are approaching. So pick up your books and get on with the serious work ahead.
